Both cadets and staff undertake First Aid Training with basic Hearstart courses through to First Aid at Work courses (FAAW). The value of training young people in first aid can never be underestimated. On several occasions we have received word that our cadets and staff have intervened in situations with varying degrees of seriousness to provide aid and support for those taken ill.

Cadets have regular training on ‘Resusi Annies’ and other equipment to provide realistic training in most situations likely to be faced. Included in this will be mocked up scenarios with casualties and a variety of injuries.
